Albert Hans Baur joined E3G Berlin as Policy Advisor in July 2015. He is a policy expert working on climate change and energy. His current work focuses on the low-carbon and just transition in Germany and Europe.
Previously, Albert was an external consultant for climate policy, low-carbon urban development, and sustainability technologies and infrastructures with Siemens AG. There, he also worked on future energy market designs and environmental performance improvements.
In the context of his doctoral studies on low-carbon urban development Albert developed a straightforward approach for estimating the level of urban greenhouse gas emissions in European cities.
He also holds a M.Sc. in Global Change Ecology (Elite Network of Bavaria, University of Bayreuth, Germany) and a B.Sc. in International Forest Ecosystem Management (University of Applied Sciences, Eberswalde, Germany).
His native language is German, and he is fluent in English, with basics in French and Spanish.
