Ada has been involved in climate and energy policy issues over 20 years. She previously advised the Hungarian government and green MEPs on environment policy and energy related legislation.
She worked as a consultant for the London-based International Institute for Energy Conservation (IIEC) and as the energy coordinator of CEE Bankwatch. She was initiator or/and board member of many energy and climate related international programmes and cooperation. Under her supervision thorough research was carried out from the modelling of the economic impact of a massive energy efficiency support scheme, through the design of a new permitting system of renewable investments or the corruption risk of a nuclear project till the alternative energy model for Hungary. She was the co-author of international, jointly produced publications.
Ada has been the director of the Budapest based ENERGIAKLUB Climate Policy Institute and Applied Communication since 1998 till 2015. She was involved heavily in the establishment of the Hungarian Energy Efficiency Institute in 2011. Thanks to many years of devoted work both of these organisations are regarded as highly competent experts within their on their fields of activities.
Ada is a qualified economist and recently has participated further professional trainings, like UNIDO’s Sustainable Energy Solutions Training and Common Purpose’s Beyond Authority Leadership training.
