Reporting the climate emergency

A timely debate in the run up to London Climate Action Week bringing leading reporters and commissioning editors together to ask: is the UK media establishment getting climate reporting right? Featuring: Nina Chestney, Reuters; Alex Kirby, Climate News Network; Leo Hickman, Carbon Brief. Chaired by Lucy Siegle, BBC One Show and Observer columnist. Climate security: how are the defence, diplomacy and development communities responding to the looming climate crisis?

E3G in partnership with the Clingendael Institute and the Dutch Embassy will host an expert panel discussion exploring responses to systemic climate risk. Featuring: General Tom Middendorp, Chair of the International Military Council on Climate and Security and Senior Research Fellow at Clingendael Institute; Rear Admiral Neil Morisetti, Honorary Professor and Director of Strategy at University College London.

The City of London's flagship annual Green Finance Summit showcases the latest in green financial policy, market developments and thought leadership. At this externally hosted event, E3G’s Co-founder and CEO, Nick Mabey will moderate the afternoon panel on international trends in sustainable finance.

This session, in partnership with SOAS and the LSE Grantham Research Institute, will explore how finance can accelerate positive change on climate action in the real economy. Redefining sustainable infrastructure

In order to align infrastructure investment with the 1.5C target we need a new broad definition of sustainable infrastructure. This roundtable breakfast event will bring together up to 20 key thinkers from the investor community, development banks and the public and private sectors.
