A new E3G paper, Climate Action in Major Emerging Economies, is now available for download.

The paper highlights the important steps being taken to address climate change by members of the ‘Plus Five’ emerging economies (Brazil, China, India, Mexico, and South Africa) and describes the mutual climate security benefits that would result from increased financial and technical support from the United States to bolster these efforts.  The paper will be included in the US Climate Action Network’s Briefing Book for the Congressional Delegation to UNFCCC COP 14 at Poznan, and will be distributed to members of US Congress and staff at upcoming briefings prior to COP 14.

It was updated in January 2009 following announcements by Brazil and Mexico of new, ambitious national efforts to address climate change.
