The BBC website carries an article looking at world energy competition and its related political tensions.
The article includes quotes form E3G founding director John Ashton, in his role as a special representative for climate change of the UK foreign office, who points to China’s impact in the global energy debate, saying:
China is building a large coal power station every four days,
By itself China could negate the whole debate about climate control that the Kyoto agreement was supposed to address.”
John Ashton underlined that this means that:
