Pelin ZorluPrior to joining E3G, Pelin Zorlu was a research assistant for Action for a Global Climate Community, helping to promote the concept of a ‘climate community’ based on the principles of equity and sustainable development. She also worked at the Overseas Development Institute, assessing the poverty reduction impacts of participatory forest management.

Pelin had previously spent time as a trainee at the European Commission (DG Environment), building on and fuelling her interest in European politics and the EU enlargement process. She has also worked as a volunteer for NGOs in her native Turkey and the UK (including GLOBE-UK and WWF-Turkey).

Pelin holds an MA in Environment, Politics and Globalisation from King’s College London, where she studied as a Chevening Scholar, and an MSc in Ecology from Middle East Technical University, Turkey.

Pelin is a keen traveller, and likes long walks, camping, and pot-holing. She speaks Turkish, English, French and basic Spanish.
