About the Role

E3G aims to grow to a team of over 20 persons by the end of this year and we are seeking to recruit an Office Assistant to support this expansion. An Office Assistant will be involved in the daily management of the office, execute existing processes and mould future support systems for all the teams in London and internationally.

The successful applicant will engage in a varied range of activities including:

Undertaking core administrative duties;

Maintaining and upkeep of E3G office systems, including our contacts database, libraries – both online and paper, and internal communications;

Manage travel arrangements and itineraries (both domestic and international) for all team members and monitor travel budget;

Acting as the first point of call for IT related questions;

Assist in planning and administering E3G internal meetings;

Contributing to the updating of the E3G website and the development of communications materials;

Assist in proof reading and copy editing E3G reports, briefings and publications.



The specific start date is flexible, but desired for April 2010.

Salary level £18,000 - £20,000.

About You

We are looking for a reliable, self-motivated graduate who thrives in a team environment.  You will be highly organised and able to prioritise conflicting demands on your time.

Keen attention to detail and logical thinking are essential.

You will have an outgoing personality and be open to leaning new skills.

Flexible approach to working conditions and working environment change.

The successful applicant must be computer literate and be comfortable with the standard suite of MS software, including Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Experience with databases would be an advantage, as would be a willingness to engage with IT-related tasks.

The successful applicant will be able an effective communicator both written and verbally and will be comfortable working with senior members of staff.

You’ll be fluent in English and a second language will be preferential.
