Shane Tomlinson
Director of Development
Shane Tomlinson is E3G’s Director of Development. He is responsible for managing E3G’s strategic and advisory services and the development of systems to multiply E3G’s impact through external learning and partnerships.
Shane has led E3G’s work in a number of areas including innovation and technology transfer, global public goods, transparency and anti-corruption issues. He has successfully delivered advisory projects for a range of clients including the UK and German governments and the Office of Tony Blair.
Prior to joining E3G Shane worked in the Prime Minister’s Strategy Unit in the Cabinet Office. He provided policy advice and analysis on global health issues, energy policy and resource productivity. During the 2002 World Summit for Sustainable Development he was part of the team which developed and launched the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) and also acted as a negotiator on sustainable production and consumption issues.
Shane has a BSc in Economics & Economic History from the University of Bristol, an MSc in Economic History from the London School of Economics and an MPA from Princeton University.
