Take part in the collaboration process
As part of our efforts to enable cooperative working to take place across existing institutional boundaries and the limits of geographical distance, we are working with Trampoline Systems to create an online collaboration platform.
We will be using this to share information with groups of individuals involved in our project activities, and are developing it as an online community space for third generation environmentalists to find each other and develop their own collaborative activities.
To get the community started, in October 2006 we will launch an online member directory where users can register their details and search for fellow third generation environmentalists. Community members will also be able to sign up to receive newsletters related to E3G activities. At the same time we will also start using the system for some targeted collaboration groups related to our project work.
If these initial uses live up to their potential, we then intend to launch an expanded version of this platform in early 2007. This will include group email/web discussions, group file archives, automatic content indexing and information-sharing functionality based on Trampoline Systems’ intelligent filtering technology. More details on these developments will follow on the E3G Community Noticeboard page.
