The following article has been recommended to you. You can find the original article together with any associated downloads at http://www.e3g.org/about/news-articles/world-business-chinese-energy-use/ ********************************************************************************* The October edition of World Business includes a special report on China, and features an article on China’s energy use: ‘The burning question’. E3G’s Nick Mabey contributes to the discussion of the role that Carbon Capture and Storage could play: Carbon sequestration (long-term storage) has long been viewed as the only solution that could redeem our planet from our energy excesses. Nick Mabey, chief executive at consultancy e3g, says that the main barrier to turning sequestration into an everyday reality is political, rather than economic or technological. “This is serious industrial geology, but several companies have the technology to do it,” he says.
