Kavita Ahluwalia
Project Coordinator (Power Sector)
Prior to joining E3G’s Brussels office, Kavita was a Policy Assistant to Avril Doyle MEP in the European Parliament
She assisted Doyle in her work as Rapporteur for the EU Emissions Trading Directive review and followed the work of the Parliament’s Environment Committee. Kavita has also worked as an intern and contractual agent in the Climate Directorate of DG Environment at the European Commission.
Kavita holds an M.Econ.Sc. in European Economic and Public Affairs, as well as a Bachelor of Business and Legal Studies (BBLS) both from University College Dublin (UCD). During her studies she became interested in Environmental Law and Environmental Economics and wrote a minor dissertation on the potential success of the EU Emissions Trading Scheme.
Born and raised in Germany she is bilingual in German and English and speaks some French. In addition to improving the latter, she is keen to start learning Hindi.
In her spare time, Kavita enjoys reading, jogging and spinning. She also likes to attend music concerts with her friends.
