Prior to joining E3G, Gouri was an International Climate Change Policy Intern at the US Climate Action Network (USCAN). USCAN is an affiliate network of the Climate Action Network (CAN), a worldwide network of more than 400 Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) from 85 countries working to promote government, private sector and individual action to limit human-induced climate change to ecologically sustainable levels.
Gouri has previously worked as a journalist in Mumbai, India for over five years at several news organizations such as The Telegraph (India), Business Standard, The Asian Age and A&M (Advertising & Marketing). She wrote on a variety of topics, including advertising, marketing innovation and strategy, corporate social responsibility, social issues, and entertainment and media trends.
Gouri completed her Masters degree in Public Administration (MPA) from George Mason University, Virginia, USA in May 2009 with a focus on climate change policy research and communication. She holds a Bachelors degree in Economics and Politics from Mumbai University, India.
