imageDr Shin Wei NG joined E3G in 2008. Her focus here has broadly encompassed EU-China collaboration on climate change issues. Specifically, she is involved in an ongoing project that seeks to promote low carbon technology and investment cooperation between the two regions.

In addition to that, Shin Wei has also been involved in research ranging from transparency and accountability, international climate negotiation and climate security.

Prior to joining E3G Shin Wei completed a Ph.D in Law at University College London (UCL), where she focused on the issue of property rights and regulation of collective forestland in China. Shin Wei has worked as a researcher for various university professors and as a teaching assistant for the LL.M course of International Environmental Law at UCL. This was preceded by a Masters of Law in Environmental Law (UCL), the Legal Practice Course (Oxford Institute of Legal Practice) and a law degree at the University of Leeds. Shin Wei speaks Mandarin, Cantonese, English and Malay.
